UAF Referees Committee Chair holds series of working meetings with UPL clubs

The Chair of the Ukrainian Association of Football (UAF) Referees Committee, Kateryna Monzul, has launched a series of working meetings with representatives of Ukrainian Premier League clubs during preparations for the second part of the 2025/26 season. Meetings have already taken place with the players, coaches, and club staff of Kudrivka, Veres, Shakhtar, and Dynamo, who chose Turkey for their training camps.

During her time in Turkey, Monzul's schedule includes discussions with representatives of Obolon, Zorya, Kolos, Oleksandriya, LNZ, and Epitsentr. Next is a flight to Spain, where Karpaty, Kryvbas, Polissya, and Metalist 1925 are training. Finally, back in Ukraine, Ms. Monzul will hold meetings with Ruh, which will return from Slovenia, and Poltava, which is preparing for the second part of the season on home soil.

The main goal of these meetings is to create a platform for open discussion of important issues related to the interpretation of football rules, the analysis of game episodes, and the practical application of referee decisions during official matches. These meetings are conducted in a dialogue format, where participants can ask questions and receive clarifications.

At the first of these meetings, specific complex game episodes and changes in rule interpretations were already discussed. Special attention is being paid to communication mechanisms between match participants and the officiating team, as well as the issue of respect for referees in tense game situations.

This initiative is intended to foster a stable ongoing between clubs and referees, which is expected to have a positive impact on the overall culture of match conduct.
