The centralized TV pool has been created!

The Ukrainian Premier League announces an accomplishment of a historic event - the centralized television pool has been created!
The corresponding decision was supported by the majority of UPL Participants.
*According to the charter of the UPL, a decision shall be considered adopted if more than half of the Participants voted in favor of it.
The international television company Setanta Sports has become the official broadcaster of the UPL. The contract covers 3 seasons, with the amount of $16.2 million.
The matches of the Ukrainian Football Championship will be available to the viewers in premium quality at:
• the linear channels of Setanta Sports (at least 4 matches of each round live + the rest of matches recorded)
• the OTT platform Setanta Sports (all matches live)
• the Youtube channel Setanta Sports (2 matches live + all matches recorded)
As the result of additional negotiations, the unprecedented conditions were reached to promote the maximum accessibility of football to Ukrainian fans: in addition to 2 live matches of each round, absolutely all UPL matches will be available on Youtube just 15 minutes after the final whistle, free of charge.
Besides, the very important step to popularize Ukrainian football will be the quick transfer of the match highlights to the clubs just after 6 hours after the end of the match.
Setanta Sports is the leading sports channel in 14 countries in Europe and Asia with a total coverage of 154 million people. Their linear channels are broadcasted by 425 cable operators and reach up to 15.5 million households, making Setanta Sports the most watched sports channel in the region with over 61 million viewers. In Ukraine, Setanta Sports already covers more than 2.5 million households.
The company has long-term premium sports rights in most of its territories and offers exclusive broadcasts of the most popular sports tournaments, such as: English Premier League, Spanish LaLiga, German Bundesliga, Italian Serie A, French Ligue 1, Euroleague basketball and NBA, women's and men's tennis tournaments, UFC, NHL, Formula 1, etc.
Now the Ukrainian Premier League will also join this prestigious list.
The UPL and its Participants recognize this step as the highly important in the long term perspective. We are convinced that this long-awaited experience will allow UPL to raise the level of the Ukrainian football as a product.
It is very important that in such difficult times, Ukrainian football clubs were able to unite and join the world's top football leagues, introducing the principle of a centralized TV pool.
As the result of constructive negotiations, the clubs proposed and supported the position regarding the absolute need to adhere to the principles of equality of the Participants and comply with all obligations established by the Charter of the Premier League Union and the legal documents of the UAF and UPL.
The Ukrainian Premier League is grateful to all the participating clubs who supported the relevant decision, as well as to the UAF representatives who contributed to the negotiations and brought us closer to the desired goal.
However, most of all we want to thank the fearless soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine: it is thanks to your courage and professionalism it has become possible to hold the Championship!
