Today, a joint meeting of the UAF officials , the UAF Referees Committee, and Ukrainian Premier League clubs took place at the House of Football. The discussion focused on the principles and specifics of the Referees Committee’s work, the use of the VAR system in UPL Championship matches, and the exchange of feedback between UPL clubs and the Referees Committee.
The longest discussion took place between representatives of UPL clubs and the chairman of the UAF Referees Committee, Kateryna Monzul. She presented statistics on the performance of referees and VAR systems in UPL Championship matches, addressed numerous questions from the clubs, and listened to several suggestions.
The dialogue, which also saw active participation from UPL President Ievgen Dykyi and UAF General Secretary Ihor Hryshchenko, proved to be productive and full of valuable insights aimed at further improving the quality of officiating and the technical aspects of VAR systems.
Additionally, UPL club representatives heard speeches from Andrii Davydenko, Chairman of the UAF Ethics and Fair Play Committee, and Oleksandr Volkov, Chairman of the UAF Dispute Resolution Chamber.
